…and that killed the blogger…

He did what he knew he was good at. He wrote to her on his blog. That was the only way in which Shirish could express himself to her. He was never the kind to talk to girls in person. He had ended up stammering and being speechless every such time, embarassing himself. He referred to her as “Nee” (you) in his posts. His heart controlled his fingers as he typed each and every emotion of his, for Nee…

She sat in the very next cubicle…her monitor facing him. She smiled back each time Shirish smiled at her, but they never got to talking. Andrea liked the handsome and smart him, but wanted him to make the first move…unaware of his limitations. But she read every emotion, that he posted on his blog. She was his dedicated reader and loved his posts to such an extent that she even dreamt of him reading those out to her in person. By the situations that he wrote on and the emotions that he captured in his posts, she was pretty sure that it was about her. Yet she commented on those posts with her usual tinge of ignorance. All that she now waited was to hear this flow of emotions from Shirish himself. But the Sun never seemed to rise from the west, so as to say.

baby-on-comp

Shirish would post on a daily basis, his feelings for her in the form of a prose when elated and as poems when otherwise. But she loved it all, for the attention that she got. Everytime a new post alert popped up on her screen, Andrea would rush to read and comment immediately…what with his blog, being very much next to her screensaver.

Nikita, Shirish’s teammate who sat next to him was Andrea’s very good friend but she was unaware of the virtual chemistry going on between them. It was thanks to Nikita that Andrea initially became aware of Shirish’s blog.
“You know what? I think Shirish has a crush on me…cos every post of his talks about some “Nee”…And though he hasn’t confessed, I guess its Nikita….meeeeeee…His write ups are soooo romantic…blah blah…”…it was after this, that Andrea had started following Shirish’s blog…

As days passed, comments started pouring into his blog mostly from gals who wondered about who “Nee” could be, some who knew him even wondering like Nikita if it was they themselves. These very gals would rush to be the “first” to comment on his blog, each time Shirish posted. Such was the madness to be the first to comment, that people commented even before they read his post….and that left Andrea jealous and furious.
“Why do I feel jealous and angry for trivial things like these stupid gals commenting first on his post?” she did think, but only for a moment before she instantly yet furiously locked her system and accessed out of the bay.

Being in close vicinity, Shirish was a witness to all her internal fury and he for reasons unknown liked what he saw. To create this situation, he sometimes posted when she was not in her cubicle. He knew of jealously as another form of expressing love. He deeply wished that she would come and talk, something which he himself lacked in.

It broke his heart…the last two posts had been been read by her without commenting on them. Though there was no one else who would beat her in terms of ‘user visits’, her not commenting cos she couldn’t be the first one to do so was like a virtual backstab…much more painful though.

Andrea on the other hand was more interested in what others, especially the gals commented on his blog and more importantly how and what he replied back to each of them. Girls openly flirted with him asking if they were his “Nee”, and Shirish answered them vaguely taking care of not hurting any of them but on the other hand, never letting the cat out of the bag. 😉 And to her, it seemed that he tried to please and flirt with every gal that commented.  She would still smile back when Shirish did as they passed by eachother, but there was now this uneasiness that was seemingly building up!
Nikita, on the other hand was turning out to be pain in the…mmm…neck…with her constant “Ooooo Shirish wrote this (and that), and I never knew he thought so about me!”, “Ouiiii maaa…did you read his latest poem describing my eyes…I never knew my eyes were so….whatever he mentions!”…Andrea now hated Nikita…hated her more for the excitement and happiness in her than as a person in particular.

Inspite of knowing all the happenings, Shirish did only one thing he knew how best to do. He wrote for Andrea, and captured all her emotions – the anger, the frustration, the jealously, the possessiveness, the unexpressed love, the pain – like never before…
With every write up that he posted…she now silently cried…she didn’t know the reason why, but she sulked. His posts were so emotional, so virtually realistic, so meaningful that she felt it had so much of her in them than she could ever see by herself. It was now kinda too much for her to take…too much of love was becoming a pain. Every post alert seemed like a bullet pumped into her heart. Perfectly executed, and bloody merciless! She couldn’t help but click on “Stop following”!

It left him shattered…as her reading his blog eventually reduced, as indicated by the user visits. With her now not following, he was unsure about putting down his feelings for her on his blog any further. He decided to end it all, with one last post….dedicated to the one he wrote for…his “Nee”…who now seemed like she was never THE ONE to be.

He didn’t know if she would read this last post…but he believed that in someway or the other Andrea would get a clue about this post, and then he had blind faith in Nikita to spread the news, unasked! [:P]

“(B)Logging off”

It was for you that I was born online…
You read me, like you understood the thoughts of mine!

I wrote for you, cos that was the best I could do…
To say so I feared, but you know that I did/do love you!

Time and tide they say, waits for none…
I cared for nothing, cos for me you were the one!

It is not the block that’s stopping me from writing…
But it’s the widening gap in between that is biting!

With a weeping heart, I write this last one for you…
Will smile as we pass by, but write no more as I used to do!

It’s only words and not my feelings, that seem to be drying…
Let me stop the flow once for all, before you decide to stop reading!

It’s not easy, but certainly not too tough…
Dunno if I’ll ever get back but for now, am (B)Logging off!
*****************************************************************

…and that killed the blogger…

PS: I know it seems like Shirish was more into his blog’s ‘statistics’ than that of ‘Nee’! 😉

[Emosional Athyachaar]: Pink Panther! ;)

“Sree, why you always amidst gals?”
“Sree, how the hell do you manage to get ladies to read the crap you write?”
“Man…you are such a perfect example for magnetism! A Pink Panther!” 😛
“What is there in this post that gals liked? Tell me how to get women to read my posts, you A$$oul…!!!!”

ani

These are some of the questions that I am asked by most of the people whom I interact with on a day to day basis, be it online or offline! 🙂 Even I am astonished, to the level that I do not have a pakka answer to these kind of queries…
To be frank, as you know I am no pervert who goes on to do stuff or write things, just to get to know gals/women or to get their attention. 😛 Once I get to know them, I flirt…thats a different story…!

It is true that I have more of gal friends than guys if I sit and get my mathematics right! In my office too, its the same story. How? Why? I have no idea.
In my internal corporate blog, I did an analysis. I took an average of the last 5 posts that I had posted. Out of the 45 different ppl who commented, 37 were ladies. Out of the 8 guys who commented, only 6 were regulars and 2 asked me one of the above mentioned questions.
I talk mostly to women in my household…be it my granny, mom, sister (include her friends too…) or aunts…where there’s no end to the talks!! I call my mom, its a minimum 10 mins call…if I call my aunt, min 30 mins….if I call a gal friend, its either too short or too long (depending on her mood! :D)…if any of these call me, its a missed call!! 😉
It’s not that I don’t talk to my dad or uncles, but our conversations are limited to sports/politics/business/money/cars! Our answers are like synonyms in a thesaurus…one word and to the point.

The office guys/gals who follow this blog also wonder as to how I managed to get more lady commenters than males. I seriously dunno. I did do nothing special! 😉 Most of my lady commenters here I presume didn’t visit this blog cos I visited their blogs first, but I bet its the other way round. But in case of most male bloggers who visit and comment here, I visited most of them first or they are my colleagues/friends offline.

So how do I answer those questions?
And who will answer if I ask those same questions to myself?

Some answers are best unanswered! 😉

From the start…

i337957459_99584_6

I had always from the start…
No matter what, followed my heart…
But since the time I was stabbed from behind…
I’d become the slave of my mind…

Mind…creative with a style…
Mind…destructive with a smile…
It does all that it wants, takes you for a stroll…
And it just doesn’t  take much time to loose control…

Go for the kill, it said to me just now…
My palms had blood on them some how…
Why wash your hands, it said just wipe on his shirt…
I did just that not caring if he’d be hurt…

She’s looking at you, it said go hold her hand…
I did just that, blindly believing its stand…
She slapped me so hard, that I had no clue where I did land…
Its for sure worse to be hit on the face, than being stabbed from behind!

Bottom’s up!! :)

I have all the 24 hours of the day, but so little time. And thats the very reason, I have been out not posting much here nor visiting your respective blogs…echoos me especially for the latter! 🙂

dsc04800

Life is running fast, am getting older with every sunset…! I am not phobic of old age, maybe cos I love sunsets and they happen to be so beautiful. My birthday is fast approaching too, and rumors around the household hint me that this could be my last birthday…err…am not done…wait for it…well just that, it could be my last as a bachelor. ( 😀 or 😦 …I am confused! ;))!
Now thats exactly what makes me think about life running fast, the approaching sunset and all that! 🙂
One thing which I enjoyed doing when someone was about to get fixed was to tease him or her about their would-be spouses. Someone said correctly that life is a circle, what goes round comes around. Now its my turn to be the victim of such an embarassment! Nevertheless, there seems to be no escape route.
I fear the time in May when my aunt from Mumbai would join her twin and along with my mom and granny in Bangalore rip me apart with their questions…she’s now active over the phone from Mumbai! 😉
1) What kind of a gal would you like to marry?
2) Does she have to be fair?
3) She should be lean or plump one would do?
4) Whats the minimum height you would expect?
5) Working woman or housewife?
6) What if she fights with your mom? whom will you support? (Me thinking: *$%^&&%$&*)
7) Post marriage, will you stay with parents or separate? (Since last 10 yrs I’ve been staying away from parents…so invalid!)
and so on…

If I had prior experience in all this, I would have answered all questions…but what to do, am a fresher in this aspect! 😉

About Politics in India…well I will call it Poli-tricks instead! Elections are fast approaching…so lemme talk about some famous ones who have done nothing so far politically when it comes to the actual development of the country!

1) Mr. Sanjay Dutt – If he really had the motive about joining politics, he should have planned well. He had 4-5 years to clear all the cases against his name. If you ask my opinion (why would you?), he never thought about joining politics in the first place. A man well known for Bacardi/Smirnoff parties, what would make him join a political party and Samajwadi Party of all parties?
He is someone who was never in control of his own life…AK-47 is an assault weapon which he was caught possessing, something which is not used for self defence as per what he had stated. Having gone into depression when he lost his mom Nargis, he has never got that control back. He’s been more of a follower than a leader…with his third wife Manyata now holding the remote control (read: finance)!!
Now with all this and much more, can we trust him a seat in the Parliament? He should stick to his acting, and not lose everything including his own family in the name of politics.
2) Mr. Md. Azharuddin – Our most successful cricket captain of the 90s, too was not in the scene till about 4-5 months ago..!! Its common knowledge that in search of muslim votes, he was pumped up and lifted onto cloud #9 by the Congress! Lets see if he scores or returns to the pavilion!!
3) Ms. Amisha Patel – The moment I heard that she was contesting, I was waiting for her to declare her “assests”. The number of votes she gets would be proportional to the number of perverts who have voted in that constituency!
4) Mr. Varun Gandhi – He’s the ” Other Gandhi” who is currently the most loved by the Shiv-Sainiks for his anti-Islamic speeches! For someone who has a post graduation degree from the UK, he should be banished to the non-existing islands of Abekhaalegoogoo!! 😀

So………..
Shall I marry or join politics??? In both cases, my bottom’s gonna be up, just like how you see me in the pic!! 😛

What a fool I had been…

happy-fools-day

Hello, how do you do?” she asked with a smile…
Available” – I remember replying in my own style! 😉
Paagal” – she had said and gone, in a tune so rude…
Pleasure is mine” – is all that I said, like an aimless dude!
Yo! What a fool I had been…

Feelings for her, I couldn’t hide…
Of all the things, I wanted to be by her side…
Only if I could confess, what I thought of her…
Love for her was my strength, and that made me weaker!
‘Sigh! What a fool I had been…

Do you like me for what I am?”, on the messenger I finally did ask…
Available” to “Away” she went, as replying back seemed a tough task!
Yo! What a fool I had been… 😀

****************************************************************

Happy Fools’s Day buddies…Never shy away from reality!! 😉
