[Photo-Blog]~Love: Dawg-ie style!! ;)

The days were numbered. The contest was coming to an end. The mind had some ideas but since the search for models (male and female – human, of course) proved unsuccessful, I decided it was high time for some click-flick-bang-bang action with whatever I could lay my hands on. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thisย wasย my entry toย February 2010 Contest – Love – conducted by the Photography community at my office (on the internal blogs)!! – The title of the post was different and decent though!! ๐Ÿ˜›

Love is always not lovey-dovey…There are various stages a couple goes through….I’ve titled the pics, based on the stages which I could picturize with the pics I took!!
It is the pictures that I clicked first, and then thought about the different stages. So no confusion as to which came first (chicken or egg, likes! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). ๐Ÿ˜›

Consider that the guy in this story is a friend of mine. Lets say his name is Dalapathi Wanchuk Gunnu (in short and with love,ย  DAWG) and this is his story!!! ๐Ÿ˜›

1. Attraction: Dawg sees a gal (as usual ๐Ÿ˜› ) standing close by…his eyes zoom in as she slowly zooms out of sight…he taps my shoulders, says he’s attracted to her…even makes the mistake of calling it love-at-first-sight. What the, sight!!

2. Interaction: Being kind enough, say I introduce her to Dawg. Dawg wanting some quality time to interact with her, signals me to get lost. I silently leave the place wondering (read: cursing ๐Ÿ˜› ), if Dawg would have been a better policeman rather than an IT professional.

3. Seduction: Dawg seems to be a changed man nowadays. He wears the best of clothes, tucks his shirt, polishes his shoes and even gels his hair. Surprising of them all – not only does he apply (loads of) deodarant, but he takes a daily bath too. He only talks about her with me. She is like this, like that…she likes this, that…et al…I remember reading somewhere that “Barking Dawgs, Seldom Bite”…whatever it is, Dawg is a changed person.

4. Affection/Action: Dawg doesn’t tell me about what all happened in this stage. He’s such a Dawg. Hmmph!!

ย

(Lap-top? ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Disclaimer: No Dawg’s were ridiculed or killed during the making of this post. Only a juicyย tomato was sacrificed! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Of Bloggers and their ways of going about it all… ;)

This post is a result of having had a steady look at the different kinds of bloggers at my corporate blogosphere. I sincerely don’t mean to hurt the sentiments of (emotional) bloggers over here, nor it is an attempt to make mockery of any individual in particular. If you relate to any particular type and don’t mind letting me know, then do feel free to use the comment section here.

So what are the different kinds of bloggers we have around?

1. Prolific Bloggers – These are the kind…who no matter what the situation they are in, whatever place they are located in…do find time to do a post…almost daily…They may stick to a particular genre of writing or write on any general topic.

2. A-prolific Bloggers – These are the opposite of the above kind. Its a big deal, if they post once in a month or quarter. But the topics they post are very meaningful – either relating to something they want to share or provide some solution – mostly based on their own experiences.

3. Frequency Bloggers – These are the kind…who stick to a particular frequency…usually on a weekly basis or else on monthly basis…say, they post 3 posts a week – then they stick to it. Genre, usually varies…

4. Random Bloggers – These I would say are opposite to frequency bloggers. They don’t have any pattern as such, but then on an average they publish almost as many posts, a month as frenquency bloggers do.

5. Poetic Bloggers – As the name goes, this kind posts only poetry on their blogs.

6. To-be-Fed Bloggers – These are one of the kinds…they find it tough to come up with topics, to write on. But then give them a topic and they are the happiest people who oblige to write.
ย
7. Participative Bloggers – Host a carnival or tag them to a meme, they would surely participate. A majority of these, fall under the to-be-fed bloggers!!

8. Emotional Bloggers – They can also be called the cribbing bloggers. A mosquito bites them, they post on it. Mostly negative, but then absolute truth.

9. Bakwaas Bloggers – These are happy kinds, who write on and about anything and everything. They just need a reason to write and don’t even need a topic, sometimes. But when they write on topics, it could vary from serious to senseless. They try to experiment with various shades of emotions.ย  Also they put in pictures in their post, sometimes having no relation at all with the contents of the post (like in this one ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). ๐Ÿ˜€

10. Editing Bloggers – These are bloggers who edit their published blogs over and over again. Usually they publish a raw draft and then edit the published version based on their own judgement or (mostly) when pointed out by their commentors.

11. Photography Bloggers – As the name goes, they post only photographs. These are of three types:
a) Click Photography Bloggers – They just post all the photos that they have clicked. Not a word said, in the post as if they really believe in their picture conveying a thousand words.
b) Expressive Photography Bloggers – These kind of photo bloggers, explain the photos posted…be it their technicalities like exposure, saturation, etc or the places where they were shot at or some random oneliners…some creative ones even weave poetry around their pictures.
c) Contest Photography Bloggers – These kind not just post their clicked pics but they even conduct contests based on them.

12. Host Bloggers – These love to play host. Be it organizing a carnival or contest. Some do it periodically and some do it frequently, mostly as a series.

13. Guest Bloggers – These love to post anonymously. If they feel they cannot post a topic on their own, they request/convince a blogger friend of theirs to post it on their behalf anonymously as a guest post. Some do it for the thrill of anonymosity as well. ๐Ÿ˜‰

14. Group Bloggers – These are bloggers who like to write, but are shy types. They need peer bloggers who will support them as well as push them to publish. They usually are a part of group blogs and don’t open a blog personally.

15. Art Bloggers – These bloggers publish cartoons, caricatures, sketches, paintings or any form of their physical (or online) art work in digital format. They are usually, the silent types…in their comments.

16. Romantic Bloggers – These kinds can write only about love and romance, sometimes moving into the area of lust. They write both stories and poetry…but on the whole are imaginative and seldom write on self experience.

17. Newspaper Bloggers – These are the kinds who will write about all thats happening around them. In their blog, you get to read about whats happening around them, just like you get to know about the world in a newspaper.

18. Series Bloggers – These kinds, mostly publish posts in a series format. Be it stories or poems or experiences – they do it series – short, long and never ending.
Note: I remember having seen someone write a tele-serial kind of series, which was in its 40th+ episode.

19. Optimistic Bloggers – These kinds will never give up, no matter the ground beneath them collapses. Even with a bad rating in their latest appraisal cycle, they manage to review and appreciate even a below average movie or book. (cos they realize the feeling of being badly appraised? ๐Ÿ˜› )

20. Apologetic Bloggers – These are lazy bloggers, who post once in a blue moon. They always start off with a one liner (like a Mahurat shot in movie making) where they profusely apologize to their readers/commentors/followers. The stress on apology is directly proportional to their longevity of absence. ๐Ÿ˜›

21. Sarcastic Bloggers – These are a combination of emotional and optimistic bloggers. Emotions don’t give them the freedom to write optimistically and optimism doesn’t allow them to openly crib. They basically experience emotional cocktails but then for the readers, they are an absolute source of humor and entertainment.

I can think of only this many as of now. Though there are the arrogant bloggers, dreamy bloggers and so on, I feel they fall under some of the above classifications. If you know any other kind, pls feel free to add. ๐Ÿ˜€

[V-Day Carnival] In-Difference, In-Love!! ;)

This is a collaborative poem…heavy term isn’t it? In simple words, its a poem written as a team…She wrote it, I copied it!! ๐Ÿ˜›

Well…the poem is about the some scenario/situation in a couple’s life…we’ve tried to capture on scenario revolving around the Valentines day…Originally written by Megs, before V-Day and then I took a lot of time to copy (read: cope with ๐Ÿ˜› ) it…anyways, since THE day is now over, our verse is in its past tense.

Check out for Megs’s version from the lady’s point. My version is mediocre since its from a married man’s point!! ๐Ÿ˜› (Who listen’s to a married man? ๐Ÿ˜‰ ).
Check out both and let us know what you guys think about our collaborative poetry! ๐Ÿ˜›

Long have treaded the years…
Now she shouts loud into my ears…
But never does she change…
Her habits are still a pain…
The bell rings and phone trings…
And she expects me to answer…
Our mornings and evenings…
Same or sane, they are never…

Gone are the days…
I love you, she would hear me say…
Being toothless, now I cannot be clear…
But even today…
With my heart she plays…
Her looks gives it tremor after tremor…

It was the V-day, our kids had planned…
And arranged for us, a date…
Yet she screamed, as on the bed I laid…
Something about a plate…

She dressed in red, my favorite shade…
But I know she never would admit…
If asked, she would’ve said “I didn’t find jade”…
And I’d act as if I sulk over it…

I adjust my tie, make my leftover hair….
Which I think she likes, though bereft of tendrils….
Off the handle she does fly, as being late she can’t bear…
Yet no matter what, she has to spend a while by the window sill…

As I move out I see her follow, still slim…
I sang, our age old song…
“Lady in red is dancing with me cheek to cheek”…
She looks bright but the lights seem dim…
Striding with me, she hummed along…
While our kids stood cheering as they took a peek…

50 glorious years yet the spark lingers…
As we strolled in the moonlight…
Whispering nothings and entwining fingers…
Reliving memories we walked into the night…

[V-Day Carnival]~In LoVe WiTh YoU…

Time and again, I silently smile…
Now n then, in just another while…
I wonder why, but its feels so good…
My forehead I pat, and say touch-wood!

It’s not that long since I last met you…
Or am I not aware, of the time that just flew…
I wonder how, cos it feels so nice…
Thinking of you, my sleep I sacrifice…

The chirpy voice I hear when I call you…
Makes me close all previous chapters, start anew…
I wonder where, you’d been all this time…
When the love bells in mind, happily chime…

ย

ย

You may not be here…
You may not be near…
All I have to do…
…is close my eyes to see you…
You may not be here…
You may not be near…
All I have to do…
…is breathe in, to feel you…

PS: Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you! ๐Ÿ™‚

[V-Day Carnival]~Oooo…Aaaa….Ouch!! ;)

Tomorrow is the day for all those who are in love…to talk love, share love, make love….and also for the Mutaliks in the world, to go against it by doing all kind of tactics they did last year till they were forced to wear pink chaddis instead of orange bandanas…

This year there seems to be no news (so far – touch Shakira – wherever, whenever, whoever, so on) from the fanatics who would do anything to get some good publicity. Shiv sena is sitting quiet too…maybe tiger Bala read my unposted letter which I didnt send it to him,ย out ofย love ofcourse. ๐Ÿ˜€

I really wonder if the sena’s think like how the medieval kings of England used to think…I mean, do these modern political honchos expect people (of a democratic country) to ask permission before they emote love and do stuff ? ๐Ÿ™„ย Cut to flashback, andย it is said that people in UK (I didn’t find the link…try wiki) had to ask permission from their kings to extend their families (Fornification Under Consent of King) and that is how the famous, most commonly used, considered-vulgar-by-most, 4-letter word came into existence.

By the way I got my new Indi Ranking…its gone down by 5 places…but then dunno if its a co-incidence or a valentine gift…am now ranked at position 69!! Love is in the making! ๐Ÿ˜‰

On the Internal blogs,ย with a bunch ofย other folks I’m hosting the V-Dayย Carnival. Its alreadyย into its 6th day today and we haveย received 100+ entries from about 60 unique bloggers. Its on till the end of this month. Meghana is oneย prolific participant over there and no wonder,ย she is hosting the sameย V-Day Carnival out here externally. So what are you doing here? Go there and participate!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

PS: In the pic is my favorite, Jenny Love Howwzit…people all around the world, though know her as Jennifer Love Hewwit. ๐Ÿ™‚

[Sad Poetry]~Oops…in Love!! ;)

Once upon a time, there was this beauty…
Three cubicles away she sat, and her name was Sweety…
That I had this thing for her, I wanted to let her know….
But when in front of her, my battery would go all low….

She was always busy on the phone, talking this and that…
I would ping her on the communicator, “Are you free to chat?”…
However busy on call she was, she never said a no….
But before she’d reply, in dessertsย it would snow…

By the way, my name is Om Omesh Pitambar Shenoy…
Friends call me Oops in short, don’t ask me why… ๐Ÿ˜‰
I’m tall, wheatish, handsome (as perย myย mom), hard working guy…
But girls tend to make me nervous, how much ever I try….

One day I decided that it was high time to confess my love…
I went to her cubicle but didn’t know to start, how….
She said, “Oops, I’ve something to show…you wanna see?”…
Glad that she broke the ice, I said “Sure” with a glee….

“Lucky mouse” I murmured, as she double-clicked on a folder…
‘Sweety_Engagement_Pics’, it read – I now needed a shoulder…
“Why are all sweety’s in the world engaged?” my mind silently echoed…
…and I sat there painfully smiling, as one pic after another she showed…
