[Crazy-Poetry]~ Wall in Love: The Sakhu-MJ Networking!! ;)

Life was hell, with the poor me squeezed like lime…
I was happy then, but ten months is quite a long time…
What if my relationship status was “Committed” on Facebook…
He still sent me a fraand request, giving my profile pic just one look…

I looked pretty eating a pizza by hands, but must say he was quite bold…
He seemed cute, though his display pic was that of a one year old…
“Hi…friends call me MJ and I also love to eat”, he gave intro and told…
Accepting his request, I welcomed him into my online household…

He made me repeatedly LOL LOL, by cracking jokes on his tummy…
And sometimes I went ROFL, when he told how strict was his mummy…
Sad was this Sakhu Bai, for the last 10 months and then came this MAN…
Now I feel happy and maybe – just maybe – in love, as in my mind he ran…

All my statuses, good or boring – he’s the first to “like”…
In many of his comments, he’s promised to take me on his bike…
Seeing lots of istree-yan in his friend list, used to make me oh so jealous…
But seeing them all call him “anna, anna”, it is now so much hilarious…

You know, he invited me to his Farmville saying “let us grow some crop”…
Though Sakhu knows no farming, I said “Bring pink cow from over the hill top”…
And then he “pokes” me regularly writing funny liners on my wall…
Temme temme…How the hell can Sakhu Bai control herself? In love, she had to fall… 😀

******************************************************************
Note: The English language is deliberately twisted at a few places in this poem…so my dearest English pundits, pls echoos me…this is purely a desi-flavored masala!!

On request from dearest Sakhu Bai, I intend to dedicate these verses to our dear MJ – The theme of this poem was based on listening to all his stories and also knowing his online avatar!!

Translations (for the few non-english words that I’ve used):
1) istree-yan = ladies
2) Anna = brother

The Sakhu Bai series so far:
1. Name is Sakhu Bai
2. Sakhu Bai…in love!

[Poetry]~Passing the Apron! ;)

I didn’t think about the dinner at night…
When I fell in love with her at first sight…

I did what-not like look into her eyes…
Not thinking once, if she could cook some rice…

We were then married, all set for life…
“Can you chop these?” she asked, handing over a knife…

With onions in hand, I said “Sure…not a big deal!”…
So this is how I cried, as she cooked our first meal….

Meals ready, she asked “So…how’s the food…”…
Also giving me options, “…tell me darling…good or very good?”…

With a morsel of food in mouth, I said “Hmm…wELL…”
And looked at her smiling, as I silently let the moment dwell…

She smiled back as she understood that stupid look on my face…
“Why don’t you cook henceforth?” she grinned, enrolling me in the race…

I still wonder, as to who thinks about kitchen delights…
As they continue to fall in love at first sights! 😉

Never have I loved someone before… :)

I think of you, as it rains…
And when it stops, only your thought remains…
I see you, smiling bright…
When the sun shines out of sight…
I miss you, as the sun sets…
Deeper I fall in love, the darker it gets…

Never have I loved someone before…
…as much as I’ve loved you…

I feel alive, by the touch of your hands…
And I wish this stays forever, as it stands…
Lost in your thoughts, I search for the light…
Remembering you smile, I wish you were here tonight…
I miss you, as the sun sets…
Deeper I fall in love, the darker it gets…

Never have I loved someone before…
…as much as I’ve loved you…

[Poetry]~ But then…

Aaradhnak and I were having this chat. Well, we do a lot of blog-a-talk discussing on topics – what we write, what we don’t, what went or can go wrong, what we didn’t try for long or at all, et. al.
A: “It’s been a long time since you wrote something poetic…in English”
Me: “Hmmm…yeah, seems like…you want it to be sad or with humor?”
A: “Sad is better…we can at least be sad…” and after a pause she said, “…and at the same time laugh, at the way you write sad poetry” 🙄

Hmm…So dedicated to A…Call it poetry or whatever…here’s to a bit of sadness – that you can choose to laugh on! 😀

It all changed and I don’t know how…
You just came by, and I fell in love…
It was my first time, this acquaintance…
Happy and excited I was, at that instance…

Flowers bloomed, happiness was all around…
I heard music, in every other silly sound…
The moments you were missed, were very few…
As at every blink of an eye, I did see you…

But then…

Why did you leave me all alone…
Why did you break-up over the phone…
Why did you make me write this song…
Why did you promise to sing along…

What happened to those happy times…
Are they just meant for those nursery rhymes…
Tell me, where did I go all wrong…
I thought this would last a lifelong…

Hmm…

It all changed and I don’t know how…
What do I do without you, now…
It’s so damn tough, to live in the past…
You were my first, you are my last…

[Crazy-Poetry]~ Sakhu Bai…in LoVe! ;)

I know you would say, long time no see…
Kya bolu – I am fulltu busy, not at all free…
So what’s up, I know you would ask the poor me…
IT job, not as easy like monkeys climbing a tree…

Anyways, I’ve something in secret to tell you all…
Thought of writing down here, as I feel very shy on the call…
Never thought this would happen, but chalo gimme a haaii-faaii…
How to say, hmm…ya…deeply fallen in love is your Sakhu Bai!! 😉

Sitting in the next cubicle, he used to gimme weird looks…
Initially I felt like hitting him hard with piles of books…
Then what to say, uff…he happened to seem nice and cute…
Love was in the air with music in the background, violins and flute… 😛

Feels nice to say, ki your Sakhu Bai is now no more single…
Too much time spent coochie-cooing free on phone, no time to mingle…
Planning is fulltu on, for our marriage which is now love cum arranged…
And oh yes, to ‘committed’ – my Orkut-n-Facebook status, I’ve changed… 😉

******************************************************************
Note: The English language is deliberately twisted at a few places in this poem…so my dearest English pundits, pls echoos me…this is purely a desi-flavored masala!! 😀

With permission from dearest Sakhu Bai, I tend to dedicate this poem(??) to all those who have recently been married, engaged, fixed or found love! – The theme of this poem was based on all your stories!! 🙂

As for the title of the poem – well…when Shaky (Shakespeare) can fall in love, why can’t our Sakhu-bai! 😉

Translations (for the few hindi words that I’ve used):
1) Kya bolu – what can I say?
2) Fulltu – is a slang word for ‘wholesale’ or ‘full time’
3) Ki – that
4) Coochie-cooing – its an art of whispering loud between couples (don’t ask me, anything more 😉 )

[V-Day Carnival] In-Difference, In-Love!! ;)

This is a collaborative poem…heavy term isn’t it? In simple words, its a poem written as a team…She wrote it, I copied it!! 😛

Well…the poem is about the some scenario/situation in a couple’s life…we’ve tried to capture on scenario revolving around the Valentines day…Originally written by Megs, before V-Day and then I took a lot of time to copy (read: cope with 😛 ) it…anyways, since THE day is now over, our verse is in its past tense.

Check out for Megs’s version from the lady’s point. My version is mediocre since its from a married man’s point!! 😛 (Who listen’s to a married man? 😉 ).
Check out both and let us know what you guys think about our collaborative poetry! 😛

Long have treaded the years…
Now she shouts loud into my ears…
But never does she change…
Her habits are still a pain…
The bell rings and phone trings…
And she expects me to answer…
Our mornings and evenings…
Same or sane, they are never…

Gone are the days…
I love you, she would hear me say…
Being toothless, now I cannot be clear…
But even today…
With my heart she plays…
Her looks gives it tremor after tremor…

It was the V-day, our kids had planned…
And arranged for us, a date…
Yet she screamed, as on the bed I laid…
Something about a plate…

She dressed in red, my favorite shade…
But I know she never would admit…
If asked, she would’ve said “I didn’t find jade”…
And I’d act as if I sulk over it…

I adjust my tie, make my leftover hair….
Which I think she likes, though bereft of tendrils….
Off the handle she does fly, as being late she can’t bear…
Yet no matter what, she has to spend a while by the window sill…

As I move out I see her follow, still slim…
I sang, our age old song…
“Lady in red is dancing with me cheek to cheek”…
She looks bright but the lights seem dim…
Striding with me, she hummed along…
While our kids stood cheering as they took a peek…

50 glorious years yet the spark lingers…
As we strolled in the moonlight…
Whispering nothings and entwining fingers…
Reliving memories we walked into the night…

[V-Day Carnival]~In LoVe WiTh YoU…

Time and again, I silently smile…
Now n then, in just another while…
I wonder why, but its feels so good…
My forehead I pat, and say touch-wood!

It’s not that long since I last met you…
Or am I not aware, of the time that just flew…
I wonder how, cos it feels so nice…
Thinking of you, my sleep I sacrifice…

The chirpy voice I hear when I call you…
Makes me close all previous chapters, start anew…
I wonder where, you’d been all this time…
When the love bells in mind, happily chime…

You may not be here…
You may not be near…
All I have to do…
…is close my eyes to see you…
You may not be here…
You may not be near…
All I have to do…
…is breathe in, to feel you…

PS: Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you! 🙂

[Sad Poetry]~Oops…in Love!! ;)

Once upon a time, there was this beauty…
Three cubicles away she sat, and her name was Sweety…
That I had this thing for her, I wanted to let her know….
But when in front of her, my battery would go all low….

She was always busy on the phone, talking this and that…
I would ping her on the communicator, “Are you free to chat?”…
However busy on call she was, she never said a no….
But before she’d reply, in desserts it would snow…

By the way, my name is Om Omesh Pitambar Shenoy…
Friends call me Oops in short, don’t ask me why… 😉
I’m tall, wheatish, handsome (as per my mom), hard working guy…
But girls tend to make me nervous, how much ever I try….

One day I decided that it was high time to confess my love…
I went to her cubicle but didn’t know to start, how….
She said, “Oops, I’ve something to show…you wanna see?”…
Glad that she broke the ice, I said “Sure” with a glee….

“Lucky mouse” I murmured, as she double-clicked on a folder…
‘Sweety_Engagement_Pics’, it read – I now needed a shoulder…
“Why are all sweety’s in the world engaged?” my mind silently echoed…
…and I sat there painfully smiling, as one pic after another she showed…

[World AIDS Day]~ Respect, Protect! :)

White sheet underneath, I stare at the ceiling…
Living being uneasy, I now wait for HIS calling…

I see me smiling, down the memory lane…
Until my life shattered, like a window pane…

One night of passion, that unprotected action…
One self-assassination, pure fatal attraction…

I see me dying, all efforts in vain…
Life now seems worth living, even in pain…

Staring at the ceiling, for the last time I breathe…
Draped all over, white sheet no longer underneath…

Every year, the 1st of December is observed as the World Aids Day.

Fight Aids and not the people suffering from it!!
Beware, Be aware! 🙂

Know-hows:

As per UNAIDS, currently there are close to 4 crores of people carrying the HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) which is the main agent of AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome).

AIDS, as of now is incurable but with treatment the HIV virus can be controlled from further damaging the immune system.

HIV can be passed on through infected blood, semen, vaginal fluids and even breast milk.

More about this, you can read HERE.

[26/11]~ A Moment of Silence!!

Time alone heals, counting ticks of the clock…
A year gone by, since they entered through the dock…
They came, they surrounded, they fired…
They took away as many lives, as they desired…

I still remember the day, to the idiot box we did glue…
Of when it would end, how many would survive, we had no clue…
I sincerely hope that no such incidents will occur…
No neighbor, no terrorism, henceforth makes us suffer…

I wonder if we can re-wind the time…
To paint a different picture altogether, so sublime…
One with no pain, no terror, no nothing…
One with peace, love, growth and no uprising!!

A moment of silence, we offer to all the lives cost…
And a piece of advice to the offenders, just get lost…
To the ones who sacrificed for others, we offer our humble tributes…
Fellow citizens at Mumbai, for showing us how to move on..heartfelt salutes…

*********************************************************************

It’s been a year since the 11/26 terror attacks took place at several locations in Mumbai. The guts of the people who conspired against India are worth condemning…they were cowards who attacked and killed innocent people just for some kind of false faith they were made to believe in. No religion or faith in the world preaches voilence and hatred. The young men who came in as terror faces were no doubt brainwashed, so much that common sense failed to prevail in them…
It feels sad to see the state of our judiciary, in which we all (seem to) have immense faith…it’s been a year now and they still seem to argue over the nationality and blood group of the lone terrorist caught…that I sometimes chuckle, at the thought that they are conducting more of a matrimonial enquiry for him rather than a judicial one.
Some people do bakwaas about ‘Mumbai not belonging to India’ and all that but then those very folks were scribbling in the comforts of their homes while the aam junta were making “Saamna” of the situation at hand….anyways, kudos to the spirits of Mumbaikars who once again braved against all odds in successfully facing the idiosyncrasies that life had in offer for them.
